Mrs. Johnston's News and Assignments for Feb. 10-14

Students are out next Monday, Feb. 17 for Presidents Day.

6th Grade--Finishing Witch of Blackbird Pond. Activities are due Wednesday, Feb. 12. Many students have not said the verses to the Star Spangled Banner. Each verse is a daily grade and when they recite all 4, it is a test grade. The last date to do this will be Thursday, Feb. 13.

7th Grade--I postponed the definition test from last Friday to today because of the weather day Thursday. We will have another landform location and spelling test next Tuesday, Feb. 18. We are moving through Geography.
This Wednesday, Feb. 12, 7th grade will go to the Eufaula Courthouse to meet with several people involved with the judicial branch of the government. We will leave at 11 a.m. and return before school dismisses. Students will need money for lunch downtown...they may eat where they wish downtown in small groups.

8th grade--Hoping to have the Ancient China test this week. They should have all their notes by end of class on Monday. If it isn't this week, it will be on Tuesday, Feb. 18 when we return.

9th grade--Reading the stories of Perseus, Hercules, Theseus, and Atalanta.
