Mrs. Beaty's Assignments September 23-27

Happy Homecoming Week!!!

This week will be totally stressful, chaotic, but lots of fun! Homecoming is about making memories. Students might not remember that Lois Lowry authored Number the Stars, but they will remember the skits, the parades, and field day.

We have been writing essays about our summer reading books. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will write most of theirs in class, and complete the final revision at home. Please help your Chief edit his/hers. (President Donald Trump has an editor.) (9th graders have already submitted their essays.)

Reminder: 6th, 7th, 8th grades will write for the Patriot's Pen. You may help at home! It is due October 24.

6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th grades: Test Tuesday, September 24: allusion, theme, symbolism, and personification. We have talked about these literary devices since the first day of school! I will review in class Monday.

Be your family to Skit Night, Thursday, 6:00 p.m. You will get to see some really talented kids!

Come cheer on the Chiefs Friday night and cheer for our homecoming court and queen! (I will not be at the game-it's Shelley's last Chi O Parent Weekend at Auburn. I am so sad to miss the homecoming festivities Friday night but happy to spend time with my baby girl!)

Go Chiefs!
