Happy New Year and Welcome Back to School!!!

Please refresh your school supplies...paper, pencils, red and black pens, at least!!

6th Grade--Chapter 12 Less 3, War of 1812.

7th Grade--Civics Chapter 10, the Judicial Branch.

8th Grade--Religion Powerpoint Group Projects

9th Grade---Need the book, Mythology, by Edith Hamilton

6th Grade Elective--Reading Witch of Blackbird Pond, by Elizabeth George Speare, on MWF during 7th period for 4 weeks. Art on TTH with Miss Nicole.

Parent Notifications

1- Tests/Quizzes will no longer come home upon completion. The teachers will return them to the student to go over in class. The grades will be posted on STI. If parents wish to see the test/quiz, arrangements can be make with the teacher.

2- If your student receives detention, expect a phone call or email from Dr. Mehaffey or Mrs. Hudspeth. If your child has accumulated detentions that result in after school detention, this will be scheduled on Thursdays and parents will be notified by Dr. Mehaffey.

3- When students are absent, an Absentee Work Folder will be circulated to compile work, worksheet, notes, etc. This folder with the due date of assignments will be given to the student when they return to school. Three days are allocated for make up work unless other arrangements are determined by the teacher and Dr. Mehaffey (Handbook pg. 20).
