Science News- 2/18-21

What a week! The long weekend will be a welcomed break. I hope you enjoy your time off. Due to basketball excitement and Valentine's day brain all the middle school tests are pushed back a few days. Please note the change.

6th grade

They got their study guides Friday, Feb 14.
The test will be Thurs, Feb 20

TEEN SKILLS - True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle projects will be due March 4. See the separate blog post entitled, True Confessions, for information. Projects need to be done at home.

7th grade

We will work on study guides Tuesday.
The test will be Thurs, Feb 20

8th grade

We have been working on the study guide as we cover the chapter.
The test will be Thurs., Feb 20

Parent Notifications

1- Tests/Quizzes will no longer come home upon completion. The teachers will return them to the student to go over in class. The grades will be posted on STI. If parents wish to see the test/quiz, arrangements can be make with the teacher.

2- If your student receives detention, expect a phone call or email from Dr. Mehaffey or Mrs. Hudspeth. If your child has accumulated detentions that result in after school detention, this will be scheduled on Thursdays and parents will be notified by Dr. Mehaffey.

3- When students are absent, an Absentee Work Folder will be circulated to compile work, worksheet, notes, etc. This folder with the due date of assignments will be given to the student when they return to school. Three days are allocated for make up work unless other arrangements are determined by the teacher and Dr. Mehaffey (Handbook pg. 20).
