Beaty's Assignments February 10-14

Happy Valentine's Week

Because we did not have the adverb, verb, preposition, subject & adjective test Friday (I was absent), we will have it Monday

Monday: 7th & 8th Literary Device notebooks are due

Friday: 7th & 8th Literary Device Test (study guide is the notebook)

This week we will study conjunctions & interjections and continue to work in our literary device notebooks

7th will continue to read Black Duck

Girls play at 12:00 Tuesday & boys play at 7:30 pm. Come out and support these young athletes and our school! Please follow school policy by not allowing your child to check out until 10:00 a.m. He/she will receive an unexcused absence if the rule is not followed.

Parent Notifications

1- Tests/Quizzes will no longer come home upon completion. The teachers will return them to the student to go over in class. The grades will be posted on STI. If parents wish to see the test/quiz, arrangements can be make with the teacher.

2- If your student receives detention, expect a phone call or email from Dr. Mehaffey or Mrs. Hudspeth. If your child has accumulated detentions that result in after school detention, this will be scheduled on Thursdays and parents will be notified by Dr. Mehaffey.

3- When students are absent, an Absentee Work Folder will be circulated to compile work, worksheet, notes, etc. This folder with the due date of assignments will be given to the student when they return to school. Three days are allocated for make up work unless other arrangements are determined by the teacher and Dr. Mehaffey (Handbook pg. 20).
