We did not work on argumentative papers this week, instead, we read "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street." It's a teleplay that was adapted in to a Twilight Zone episode. It parallels our world at present-suspicion, scapegoats, fear, apprehension, and blame. Ask your Chief what he/she learned through reading this play. (In the end, we learned that the real MONSTER is often MAN.) Monday the students will create their own versions of a monster. You should have received a text concerning sending materials to school Monday.
Tuesday, we will go to the library to check out an AR book. Each Chief will need to have his/her AR test taken by April 15. Students will also have an opportunity to purchase from the Book Fair.
Wednesday, we will play Kahoot to review for Thursday's "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" TEST.
Friday, our girls will be getting ready for cheer tryouts.
HAVE A GREAT SPRING BREAK!
